SAFETY INFORMATION

1� Read through all instructions before use�
2� When passing this device on to third parties, this operating manual must also be handed over�
3� This device complies with technical standards and the relevant safety requirements for
electrical devices�
4� The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for damages arising from improper use or from
failure to comply with the instructions in this operating manual�
5� This device is not suitable for use by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental
abilities (including children), or use by persons with limited experience and/or knowledge of
this device unless they possess the relevant safety knowledge or instructions on how the
device is to be used�
6� Children should be supervised in order to ensure they do not play with the device�
7� Do not place the device in water.
8� Never attempt to repair the device yourself. Repairs should only be carried out by qualified
persons�
9� Do not place any objects inside the housing�
10� Do not touch the device with wet hands, nor use it on damp surfaces or when it is wet�

BEFORE FIRST USE

Remove all packaging materials and check the appliance for damages�

NOTES ON BATTERIES

• Only use top-quality batteries� Cheap batteries could leak and damage the device as a result�
• If the batteries leak, remove them with a cloth and dispose of them accordingly� Ensure that leaking
battery acid does not come into contact with skin and eyes� If you do get battery acid in your eyes,
flush them thoroughly with lots of water and consult a physician immediately! If battery acid comes
into contact with your skin, wash the affected area with lots of water and soap�
• If the device is not to be used for an extended period of time, then the batteries should be
removed, as the device could become damaged should they leak�
• Batteries do not belong in household waste! Expired batteries must be disposed of in an
environmentally friendly way and according to the applicable legal regulations�
• Batteries are very dangerous if swallowed� Please keep the batteries and the device
components away from children at all times. If a battery is swallowed, seek medical attention
immediately�
• Batteries must not be recharged or activated with other means, dismantled, thrown into fire or
short-circuited�
• Remove the batteries prior to disposing of the device.
