Be careful not to damage the contents when you unpack the parts. check that all parts are
contained in the cardboard box (see table 1). Keep the packaging materials should your speaker
need to be relocated or serviced.
Note:
take care not to scratch the high-gloss finish of the DALI FAZON SAt enclosure.

Before setting up and connecting your new FAZON SAt loudspeakers, you should find the best
possible placement relative to your listening position. It is a good idea to follow these simple
guidelines.
Ideally, the FAZON SAt speakers should be placed at the corners of an equilateral triangle with
the (left and right stereo) speakers at a minimum of 1.5 metres (60") apart to achieve good
stereo separation. Avoid placing objects between the loudspeakers and the listening position as
obstacles can have a detrimental effect on tonal balance. Placing your new FAZON SAt depends
on the particular kind of set-up you have in mind:

Before connecting or disconnecting any cables, always turn off the amplifier to avoid electrical
shock or damage to your equipment.
channel the speaker cable through the groove in the twist 'n' tilt bracket and be aware to place
the cable under the strain relief (see figure 5). use the 2.5 mm Allen key to mount the cables in
the bracket. Ensure the positive terminal on the bracket (marked '+') is connected to the positive
output terminal of the amplifier and negative (marked '–') to the negative (see figure 6). Incorrect
connection will result in poor stereo imaging and loss of low-frequency output. Always make sure
the terminals are screwed down tight. Always use cables of the same type and length for left and
right channels. We recommend using the White Wave cables from DALI, available from your dealer.
Note:
If you are using FAZON SAt in a surround system, follow the instructions included with your
surround amplifier, as even a single loudspeaker connected out-of-phase will make the bass
weaker and the soundstage unfocused.
Note:
Make sure that the bare conductors are tightly gripped by the terminals with no loose wires that
could cause a short circuit and damage the amplifier.
