Use and maintenance
Use
1. Check mains electricity supply is suitable for
appliance (see type plate).
2. Attach accessories: Attach hose using adapter
to hose nozzle and check it clicks into place.
Remove hose accessory, press safety buttons
on sides of adapter and pull adapter out of
nozzle.
3. Adjust brush head to type of cleaning: floor
brush (adjustable) for cleaning floors or
carpets, combined brush and nozzle for
furniture, walls, curtains, corners, between
furniture etc.
4. Extend cable fully before connecting to mains
socket.
5. Switch on as follows:
Connect to mains socket (check voltage is
compatible, see type plate) and press on/off
switch on cleaner. The cleaner will start.
6. When finished, pull plug out of mains socket
and retract cable by pressing the cable rewind
button.
Full bag indicator
1. When indicator< is red, either empty the
bag or replace with a new one to maintain
maximum performance (for models with bag
in cabinet only).
2. Disconnect hose.
3. Open dust bag lid, remove bag and its bracket.
Detach bag and fit a new one to the bracket.
Fit into vacuum cleaner and close lid.
4. Attach hose.
When bag is full, suction will be reduced. We
recommend immediate change of bag when the
indicator begins to light.
Obstructions in the hose can cause the indicator
to blink. Removing the object will resolve this.
ENGLISH
Filters
There are two filters in the appliance to filter the
exhaust air and to prevent dust getting into the
motor. One is in the bag compartment and the
other on the appliance. Both need replacing when
the dust bag has been changed five times.
Before contacting service
If the appliance is no longer functioning properly,
check the following before calling a service
technician:
If the appliance is not working, check plug is
•
in socket and that the socket is switched on,
and that there are no blown fuses in the house.
If suction is low, check the following: suction
•
setting button is closed, dust bag is not full,
there are no obstructions in the hose or
accessories, air and motor filters are not
blocked.
If the full bag indicator will not go out, check
•
bag has been replaced and that there are no
obstructions in the hose, telescopic shaft or
accessory.
How to use
Disconnect from mains when not in use,
•
before changing bags or filters, or cleaning
the appliance.
For use in the home only.
•
Replace both filters after dust bag has been
•
changed five times.
Fully extract cable before connecting to mains.
•
Do not use without both filters fitted.
•
Do not use for hot ashes, sharp objects or
•
liquids.
Do not store near heat sources; e.g. boilers,
•
radiators etc.
Keep ventilation slots free to avoid overheating
•
and damage to motor.
Avoid contact with the plug or appliance with
•
wet hands.
