ART-DTI Interface
Item no. 40 88 54
This product complies with the applicable national and European requirements.
Intended use
The ART-DTI interface is used for the electrical isolation of audio connections, and thus it pre-
vents interferences caused by ground loops. The inputs and outputs may only be connected
to the connections of audio devices.
The device is passive, which means it doesn't require any power supply.
The product may only be used in enclosed indoor locations, never outdoors. Contact with
moisture, for example in bathrooms, must be avoided.
Any use, other than that described above, may lead to damage to this product and involves
other risks, such as short circuit, fi re and electric shock.
No part of the product may be modifi ed or rebuilt.
The safety instructions have to be followed without fail.
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions. We do not assume any liability for any resulting
damage.
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions. In such
cases, the warranty will be null and void.
In the operating manual, an exclamation mark inside a triangle indicates
important instructions.
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation to the product is not
permitted.
• Keep electrical devices out of the reach of children. For this reason, be particularly careful
when using the device in the presence of children. They may try to stick objects into the
device, through openings in the housing.
• Do not expose the device to high temperatures, dripping or spraying water, strong vibrations
or heavy mechanical stress.
• Do not use the device in a tropical climate.
• Never position vessels or containers containing liquids, such as buckets, vases or plants on
top of the product or in its vicinity. Liquids could enter the inside of the housing. If this should
happen, the product must not be operated any longer. Take it to a specialist workshop.
• Do not place open sources of fi re such as burning candles on the appliance.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous play-
thing for children.
• If you have doubts about how the equipment should be operated or how to connect it safely,
consult a trained technician.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's Liability
Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Facilities are to be observed.
• If in doubt about how to connect the product correctly, or should any questions arise that are
not answered in these operating instructions, please contact our technical service or another
specialist.

Set-up
Select a level, fl at and stable mounting location.
Protect valuable furniture surfaces by using an appropriate underlay; otherwise, it may cause
scratches.
Connection
The DTI interface features two independent channels separated from each other.
A signal provided at any input 1 (cinch, TRS or XLR) is available at all outputs of channel 1.
This also applies to channel 2.
• Connect the output of your audio source to one of the INPUT terminals (1, 2 or 3) of channel 1.
• Connect the desired OUTPUT (5, 6 or 7) of channel 1 to the input of the downstream audio
device.
• For channel 2 proceed in the same manner as described for channel 1.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Please use a soft, dry, clean cloth for cleaning.
Do not use any chemical cleaning agents, as they can discolour the plastic casing.

Always use suitably shielded audio cables to connect the inputs and outputs.
Use of other cables may lead to interference.
To avoid distortions or mismatching that could damage the unit, the inputs
and outputs must only be connected to devices with the suitable TRS, cinch
or XRL terminals.
Only the ground connections of the TRS and XLR inputs of channel 1 are
connected to the housing ground. All other inputs and outputs have no con-
nection to the housing ground.
Should there be any interference during operation due to missing ground
connections, as might be the case when e.g. only the cinch terminals are
used, connect the housing ground of the audio source device to the ground
terminal (4).
Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed of in the
household waste!
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regu-
lations.
