4. Assembling the safety barrier
Step 1 : Locating the barrier
The safety gate can be fi tted in the dooropening or stairway (2-1) or between the walls beside these (2-2).
WARNING : the position of the safety barrier on stairs depends on the position of the child in relation to
the stair. When fi tting the barrier at the top of the stairs, place the gate at the top fl oor level, some 15 cm
from the highest step. When fi tting the barrier at the bottom of the stairs, place the gate at the lowest stair
(2-3). Always make sure that the barrier is in correct position according to the template. Before fi xing the
product please decide whether it should open from left to right or vice versa and therefore which side will
be most suitable for the handle.
Step 2 : Attaching the gate
Three markings on the top of the gate (A) indicate the three options available to secure the gate to the up-
per hook (B) and defi ne the mesh extension direction.
Once the position and the extension direction is defi ned, place one by one a template on either wall and
make sure that the hooks (B-D) and locks (E) are facing each other in a straight line. Mark, drill holes and
insert the rawl plugs (H). Attention : please check if the wall materials fi t the provided rawl plugs. If not, look
for appropriate plugs. Fix both the hooks and locks with the screws (G).
