Calibration of the altimeter

For a precise measurement you
need to calibrate the altimeter
as frequently as possible.
NOTE: The altitude is calibrated
independently in all modes. If,
for example, the absolute alti-
tude is selected, the influence
of the pressure at sea level of
the previous setting is ignored.
Press the "MODE" key for
2 seconds to confirm the
settings.
There are four options for
calibration:

Setting zero altitude

The watch can measure the
relative altitude. You can e.g.
measure the increasing or
decreasing altitude between
starting point and finishing
point of your hike. For this
the current altitude must be
set to "0" e.g. at the begin-
"DONE" is displayed and
the watch returns to
altimeter mode.
