4.2 Detection of a magnetic field
To consider a magnetic field no stopping or turning off the measuring object is
needed. Also, the test can be performed during operation without dismantling
or removing covers.
*
Press and hold the TEST button of the meter and keep holding the
button during the measurement
*
Move the probe tip close to the device under test (relays, valves, etc.)
*
If an interfering magnetic field comes close to the detector a flickering of
the LED may occur
*
If the detector comes close to a clocked object (such as a timed solenoid
valve) the indicator LED lights up blue in the pulsing frequency
*
In close distance to permanent magnets and measuring objects in
energized condition, the indicator lights blue consistently
*
Releasing the TEST button ends the test and the device switches off
