adventure" portable radio transceiver.
The product you have purchased is a robust, reliable, state-of-the art appliance.
This product fulfils the requirements of the directive of the European Council
99/5/EC (R&TTED) and corresponds to the European standard EN 300 296.
Operation of the device is only approved in those countries indicated on the
package (country characteristic). Please consider the national regulations
applying in your country regarding the use of radio devices. Conformity has
been proved, the relevant documents are available on www.conrad.com or web
site of original manufacturer. This device is registration-free and toll-free.
Important licence-related information!
No modifications to the physical design of the appliance are allowed, i.e. the rubber
aerial fitted to it has to be used. Nor are any measures permitted which serve to
enhance its transmission performance.
Otherwise, the appliance loses its licence entitlement as well as its general operating
permit. Furthermore, any technical modifications made will damage or even destroy
the electronic components. It is also important to note that no adjustments should be
made to parts within the appliance, as the optimum balance is factory-set.

1. Intended use

• The 2 way compact private mobile radio (PMR) is a portable, bi-directional radio
transceiver for usage in the range with 3 km. It can be operated on 8 half-duplex
channels. Its usage requires neither license nor payment of any fees.
• The appliance runs on Lithium (Li) ion battery only.
• This appliance is intended for hobby use only. It is not determined for industrial or
commercial use or for use in practising extreme sports.
• It is not shower-proof and should therefore only be used outdoors to an extremely
limited extent.
• Any usage other than described above is not permitted and can damage the
appliance and lead to associated risks such as short-circuit, fire, electric shock, et
cetera.
• No part of the product should be modified or rebuilt.
• Please observe all safety instructions contained in these operating instructions.
