Troubleshooting

If you are experiencing problems with your DAB+ radio there are some quick and easy
checks that you can do, which may help to solve the problem.
Radio reception is poor
For DAB+ digital reception, ensure you are in an area that can receive DAB or DAB+
signals. Visit www. digitalradio.de (for example in Germany) for information about
DAB+ reception in your area or try to find other links in the Internet.
• Please check that the aerial is extended for the maximum signal strength and
improved reception.
• If necessary, perform another scan. See 1.4.
• Use the manual tune (see 2.2 ), to adjust your aerial for the best reception.
• Try moving your radio to an alternative location to see if the reception improves.
Please remember to scan for DAB+ stations again once you have moved your radio
(See 2.2).
• Check that you do not have other electrical equipment too close to your radio,
causing interference. Many electronic items like TV sets, computers or radio
communication equipment may generate interference signals which can disturb M
or DAB reception nearby. In such cases move the radio away from interference
sources and try another position
No sound
Clockwise rotation of VOL can be used to increase the volume.
For mains powered radio, please check that the mains power lead is connected at the
back of the radio and the mains power wall socket is switched on. For battery powered
radio ensure you have a fresh set of batteries.
