Operation
Plug one end of the cable to be tested in to the main cable tester unit and the other end in to the remote
terminator unit. Depending if you are testing RJ-45 or RJ-11/RJ-12 will depend on which port you use,
the RJ-45 port is the larger of the two.
Once connected slide the switch to either the "ON" or "S" position, the LEDs will illuminate to indicate the
pinout.
Cable Tester Results
The LAN Network cable tester displays cable map results for Pass, Shorts and Mis-wire for
pin-to-pin test in the following way.

Pass:

Short:

Mis-wire:
Pass
The LEDs will light from PIN 1 to PIN G in order.
The LEDs will highlight shorted pins by displaying both at the same time.
If the pins are mis-wired the LEDs will light up disorderly in unmatched pairs.
