Before using the articles for the fi rst time, please read the instruc-
tions through carefully and keep them for future reference. If the
articles are given to someone else, they should always be accom-
panied by these instructions. If you have any questions about the

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

This articles are intended to be used for illuminating outside
spaces. The batteries of the solar units charges up in daylight
via the solar panels. This stored energy allows the spotlights
to glow in the dark.
■
The articles are designed for personal use only and are not
intended for commercial applications. Use the articles only as
described in the instructions. Any other use is deemed to be
improper. Keep the instructions in a safe place.
■
Danger of suffocation from plastic fi lms! Keep the packaging
material away from children and animals.
■
The articles are not toys! Keep children and animals away
from the articles in order to prevent injuries. They could injure
themselves on the points of the earth spikes, for example.
■
Do not take the articles apart (except to remove the rechar-
geable batteries before disposing of the solar unit). Have any
repairs done only by a specialist workshop or the customer
service department.
■
If the rechargeable batteries have leaked, do not allow your
skin, eyes and mucous membranes to come into contact with
the battery acid. If you touch battery acid, rinse the affected
sites with abundant fresh water immediately and contact a doc-
tor as soon as possible.
■
Rechargeable batteries must not be taken apart, thrown into a
fi re, immersed in liquids or short-circuited.
■
Do not drop the articles or subject they to severe impact.
■
Do not use the articles if they have signs of damage.
■
Never immerse the articles in water or other liquids! They are
only protected against splashing.
■
In extreme weather conditions (e.g. storm, hail) or if you do not
intend to use the articles for a lengthy period of time, switch
them off and store them in a dry place.
■
The articles should not be placed near to other light sources
such as street lamps or other lamps so that the spotlights can
be switched on automatically.
■
Make sure that the solar panels are always clean so that the
greatest possible absorption of light is guaranteed. You should
therefore clean them with a damp cloth from time to time.
■
Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean
the articles! They could damage the surface.
■
The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects
caused by improper handling, damage or unauthorised att-
empts at repair. This also applies to normal wear and tear.

Putting Into Operation

1. Unpack the items supplied and remove all possible protective
fi lms (e.g. from the solar panel).
2. Check all parts for possible transport damage. If you fi nd any
transport damage, contact the customer service department
immediately.
3. Plug the ground spikes and the shafts into one another.
4. Plug the shafts onto the connecting pieces on the bottom of
the solar units.
5. Position the articles in a place where the solar panels can recei-
ve direct sunlight for as much of the day as possible (ideally in an
open area, not under trees etc.). Stick the ground spikes into the
soil and make sure that they are fi rmly anchored in the ground.
6. Align the spotlights as you wish. They can be rotated sideways.
If the spotlights are too loose, retighten the screws slightly if
necessary.
7. On the bottom of the solar units you will fi nd the On/Off swit-
ches. Move them to the ON position to switch on the solar
units: The batteries of the solar units can now charge up in
daylight. When darkness sets in, the spotlights automatically
switch on. When it gets light, they switch off and the batteries
are charged up via the solar panels.
8. To switch off the solar units, move the On/Off switches to the
OFF position.
Disposal
The packaging material is recyclable. Please dispose of it in
an environmentally friendly manner and take it to a recycling
centre.
Dispose of the article in an environmentally friendly manner.
It should not be disposed of in the normal domestic waste.
Dispose of it at a recycling centre for used electrical and
electronic devices. You can obtain more information from
your local authorities.
Non-rechargeable and rechargeable batteries should be
removed before the article is disposed of and should be
disposed of separately from the article. To protect the envi-
ronment, non-rechargeable and rechargeable batteries may
not be disposed of with normal household waste, but must
be taken to suitable collection points. Note the relevant sta-
tutory regulations governing the disposal of batteries.
Removing the battery: Undo the screws on the bottom of
the solar unit and remove the cover. You can now remove
and dispose of the battery.

Before the spotlights can light up, the batteries of the
