If the article is broken, do not attempt to repair it yourself. Re-
pairs may only be carried out by specialists. In the event of any
damage, please contact our customer service department.
Use the fastening material supplied to hang up the article. If
you are unsure whether the fastening material supplied is suit-
able for the wall, seek advice from a specialist stockist and
exchange it if necessary.
Hang the article in a secure and solid place.
Before drilling, ensure that there are no pipes or cables behind
the intended drilling point.
Keep the article away from sources of heat such as ovens or
naked fl ames.
Do not expose the article to extreme temperatures, wide tem-
perature variations, moisture, wet conditions or direct sunlight.
Use the article only in closed indoor rooms.
Do not drop the article or subject it to heavy impacts.
Clean the article with a slightly damp, soft cloth and, if neces-
sary, a little mild cleaning agent. Do not use any corrosive or
abrasive cleaning agents to clean the article. These can dam-
age the surface. No liquid must be allowed to enter the article
during cleaning.
Store the article in a dry, clean place that is protected from
direct sunlight and is not accessible to children and animals.

You also require a 9 V battery of the E-block type.
Before Initial Use
1. Remove the article from the packaging and check it for any
transport damage. If you fi nd any damage to the article, do not
use the article (!), but contact our customer service depart-
ment.
2. Insert a battery (see below).
3. Attach the alarm unit in a suitable place.
Inserting / Changing Batteries
1. Slide the battery compartment cover in the direction of the ar-
row and remove it.
2. Connect a 9 V battery of the E-block type and insert it into the
battery compartment (2). Pay attention to the correct polarity
(+/–).
3. Reinsert the battery compartment cover and slide it shut.

Use
The article has a touch sensor. This responds when the pressure-
sensitive mat (5) is stepped on.
1. Secure the alarm unit on an easily accessible wall indoors.
When you do this, make sure that the length of the cable is
suffi cient. It is essential to follow the safety instructions for as-
sembly (see the "Important Instructions" section).
2. Connect the cable (3) on the alarm unit to the connection (4) on
the pressure-sensitive mat (5). Make sure that it fi ts correctly!
3. Place the pressure-sensitive mat in a suitable location (e.g.
under the doormat at the door to your house/apartment).
4. Move the On / Off switch (6) on the side of the article to the
Alarm or Bell position. If somebody steps on the pressure-
sensitive mat, a warning signal sounds for around 30 seconds.
The alarm then continues to be activated.
5. Move the On / Off switch to the Aus (off) position to stop the
warning signal or to deactivate the alarm.
Carry out tests regularly in order to ensure that the article
is working correctly! If the warning signal can only be heard
faintly, change the batteries.

The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the pack-
aging in an environmentally friendly manner and take it to
a recycling centre.
Dispose of the article in an environmentally friendly man-
ner. It should not be disposed of in the normal household
waste. Dispose of the article at a recycling centre for used
electrical and electronic devices. More information is avail-
able from your local authorities.
The batteries should be removed prior to disposal of the
article and disposed of separately from the article. To pro-
tect the environment, non-rechargeable and rechargeable
batteries may not be disposed of with normal household
waste, but must be taken to suitable collection points. Also
note the relevant statutory regulations governing the dis-
posal of batteries.
