OPERATION
DEFAULT OR LOW BATTERY
In case of default (TEST fails – small insect in the detection
chamber, excessive humidity or dust, ...) or in case of low
battery, the smoke alarm will beep every 40 seconds. If two
consecutive tests fail, the smoke alarm will sound three quick
consecutive beeps every 40 seconds. You can silence the "low
battery" signal by pushing the TEST button for more than 0.5
seconds. The LED indicator will stay lit and the sound indicator
will be silenced for 8 hours, while retaining detection and alarm
capabilities. After 8 hours, beeping will resume. In case of default
or low battery indication, please change your detector.
END OF LIFE INDICATOR
After 10 years of operation, a beeping similar to that of a confir-
med default (3 brief beeps every 40 seconds) will be emitted,
signaling that the smoke alarm needs to be changed.
CARE
Clean with a clean cloth, brush or vacuum on a regular basis you
smoke alarm to avoid accumulation of dust. Never use water,
soap or detergents.
FALSE ALARM
False alarms can happen, due to steam, condensation, dust ac-
cumulation or small insect intrusion into the detection chamber.

WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF ALARM
In case of a false alarm (verify thoroughly that there is no
smoke or fire), press the TEST button to "hush" the alarm.
If the false alarm is confirmed, it may be necessary to TEST
your smoke alarm. If a second TEST fails after ventilating the
room and meticulous cleaning of the product, please bring
the smoke detector back to your point of purchase, or contact
us on our website at www.noxe.fr if you purchased the pro-
duct via internet.
!
IN CASE OF FIRE :
Exit the building as quickly as possible. Close the doors to
slow propagation of smoke and heat. Do not open a door on
fire. Use a safety or fire exit. Crawl on the floor, if possible,
inhale through a wet cloth and hold your breath. Gather on a
safe ground, outside of the building and call immediately the
fire department. Do not enter a building on fire. Wait for the
fire department to arrive.
