reattach the hard disc only. If this does not work, connect
the hard disc directly to the USB of the computer.
- Some USB devices need a lot of energy. The supplied
Y-cable is for connecting the hard disc to two USB ports
at the same time to achieve a higher current. Please use
both plugs.
- Some USB-ports located at the front of computer towers
or PCI cards can be critical in their power supply and current.
Remove all USB devices and try using the USB ports at the
back of the computer which are directly connected to the
mother board.
- Uninstall the drivers and reinstall them again. Update
the system, by checking with Windows Update.
Data transfer is slow / The computer is slow
Every connected USB device needs to be managed by the
system. This applies especially during the booting of the
computer.
Use only one USB device actively at the same time. Parallel
use will reduce the speed immensely.
Make sure that the used USB-Ports are configured as USB
2.0. This should also be checked in the BIOS of the computer.
