G Operating instruction
Thank you for choosing a Hama product.
Take your time and read the following instructions and
information completely. Please keep these instructions
in a safe place for future reference. If you sell the
device, please pass these operating instructions on to
the new owner.
1. Explanation of Warning Symbols and Notes

3. Safety Notes
• The product is intended for private, non-commercial
use only.
• Use the product for its intended purpose only.
• Do not operate the product outside the power limits
given in the specifications.
• Protect the product from dirt, moisture and
overheating, and only use it in a dry environment.
• Do not use the product in moist environments and
avoid splashes.
• Do not bend or crush the cable.
• Always pull directly on the plug when disconnecting
the cable, never on the cable itself.
• Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any
major shocks.
• Keep this product, as all electrical products, out of the
reach of children!

• Dispose of packaging material immediately according
to locally applicable regulations.
• Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids
the warranty.

• Do not place the product near interference fields,
metal frames, computers, TVs, etc. Electronic
devices and window frames can negatively affect
the product's functionality.
• Do not continue to operate the device if it becomes
visibly damaged.
4. Connection and getting started
Warning
• The hard drive adapter may only be used with the
included plug-in power supply.
• Pay close attention to the power and voltage
information on the hard drive adapter if you decide
to use another power supply unit.
• The power supply unit's power data must
correspond to the specified parameters.
• Make sure that all cables are unplugged from the
hard drive adapter before connecting.
• Attach the hard drive adapter to the hard drive
• Place the hard drive on a level, stable and non-metal
surface
• Connect the power supply unit to the hard drive
adapter
• Then connect the power supply unit to an unused
socket
• Connect the included USB 3.1 cable to the hard
drive adapter and an unused USB port on your PC/
notebook.
