Handling the batteries

WARNING
Danger due to improper use!
Danger may result from the improper use of
batteries.
► Always use batteries of the same type.
► When inserting the batteries, ensure that the polarity
is correct. Reverse polarity can result in damage to
both the batteries and the device.
► Never throw batteries into a fire, as they may
explode.
► The battery poles must not come into contact
with metal objects or with one another (whether
accidentally or intentionally). This can result in
overheating, explosion or fire.
► Keep batteries out of the reach of children. If
swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
► Leaking battery acid can cause permanent damage
to the device. Exercise extreme caution when
handling damaged or leaking batteries. Danger of
chemical burns! Wear protective gloves.
► Remove the batteries if the device is not used for an
extended period of time.
