3. Modules

3.1. Fingerprint Reader

This product includes an optical fingerprint module "F1". It uses the embedded
DigitalPersona® U.are.U® 4500.
Drivers/SDK:
Information on drivers and SDKs can be requested from your
PrehKeyTec partner. Of course the reader also supports
ready-to-use U.are.U® authentication software used by several PC
manufacturers. Please contact your PrehKeyTec partner for details.
Proper Use of your Fingerprint Reader:
Most of the unique fingerprint information is located in the "pad" of your
finger, not in the "tip". Flat finger placement will result in fast and accurate
authentication.
Cleaning the Fingerprint Reader:
Apply the sticky side of a piece of adhesive
cellophane tape to the window, and then simply
peel it away. Repeat these steps until the surface
is clean again
Care - Protect against the Risk of Damage:
- Do not pour any liquid directly on the reader window!
- Do not use alcohol-based cleaners!
- Never rub the window with an abrasive material, including paper!
- Do not poke the window coating with your fingernail or items, such as
pens!
