 If a damage of any kind occurs, e. g. smoke rises from the unit
or liquids enter the unit, immediately disconnect the unit from
the power mains and the battery.
 There is also a danger of short-circuit, reversed polarity and
leaking battery acid. Always use care when handling batteries
and observe the safety notes of the manufacturer of the lead-
acid battery.
 If the lead-acid battery is still mounted in the vehicle, first
disconnect the negative terminal (black clamp) and then the
positive terminal (red clamp). The batteries in vehicles may
only be charged after being completely disconnected from the
vehicle's electric system. This will avoid damage to the
generator, the voltage regulator, the electronics, and the
battery trainer.
 Train batteries only in well-ventilated areas and use the battery
trainer only in dry rooms. If necessary, remove the battery from
the vehicle.
 Avoid contact with the battery acid. Battery acid can cause
severe burns! In case of skin contact wash the exposed area
with liberal amounts of fresh water and, if necessary, contact a
physician. If battery acid contacts eyes, flush the eyes with
water for at least 5 minutes. Seek medical help immediately.
Do not apply eye drops without asking a physician.
 Do not disassemble the unit and do not attempt to repair it
yourself. It does not contain any parts serviceable by you.
Safety Instructions for Lead-Acid Batteries
 Do not train other batteries than 12 V lead-acid batteries.
 Do not train old, damaged, deeply drained or otherwise
defective lead-acid batteries.
 During normal operation lead-acid batteries might generate
explosive gases. Explosive gas can be ignited by a cigarette or
an open flame and can damage the battery. Thereby acid
