When using electrical devices, basic safety precautions should always be followed.
Read all instructions carefully before use.
Product
• Use the product only for its intended use as described in this instruction manual.
• Only use the power cord that comes with the Steam Steriliser.
• Keep appliance dry and do not place in direct sunlight.
• Never immerse the Steam Steriliser in water.
• Check components for wear or damage.
• Only use with the following Medela components: PersonalFit™ breastshield, all bottles, caps,
lids and teats.
Electrical
• Make sure the voltage of the device is compatible with the power source.
• Plug the power cord into the Steam Steriliser first and then into wall socket.
• Always unplug electrical devices immediately after use.
• Separation from the mains is only assured through the disconnection of the power cord from
the wall socket outlet.
• Keep the power cord away from heated surfaces.
• Never operate an electrical device if it has a damaged power cord or plug, if it is not working
properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water.
• Do not reach for any electrical device if it has fallen into water. Unplug immediately.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a new cord set immediately to avoid a
hazard.
Using/Feeding
• This appliance is intended for use by responsible persons, keep out of the reach of children.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
• There are no user-serviceable parts inside the Steam Steriliser. Do not attempt to repair the
Steriliser yourself.
• Always use on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface.
• Whilst pressing the button, please hold the Steam Steriliser base to prevent from slipping.
• Always ensure that the correct volume of water has been added before switching on the
Steam Steriliser.
• When in use, the steriliser contains boiling water and steam escapes from the vent in the lid.
Always use and handle the equipment with care. Danger of scalding!
• Never place items on top of the steriliser.
• During the disinfecting cycle the lid and the steriliser body are very hot.
• Never use the steriliser without water.
• Take care when opening the cap/cover after a completed cycle as some residual steam may
escape. Danger of scalding!
• Use a cloth when removing bottles, breast shields and all other accessories from the Steam
Steriliser
