4. Remove the mains plug from the socket.
5. Pull the water tank out of the base.
6. Fill the tank up to the maximum mark. Do not overfill!
7. Put the water tank back into position.
8. Put the power plug into the socket.
9. Set the on / off switch to "I" to turn the appliance on.
10. You can now continue ironing.

When You Have Finished

1. Turn the appliance off by setting the on / off switch to "O".
2. Allow the appliance to cool down before you put it away.
3. Wrap the power cord around the cable rewind (10).

Descaling

When using tap water the appliance needs descaling. We
recommend to decalcify the appliance after approx. 15 tank
fillings depending on your water's hardness. At the latest
when the appliance starts to emit lime particles a decalcifica-
tion is essential. Proceed as follows:
1. Empty the water tank if necessary.
2. Fill 400 ml of water and 100 ml of clear vinegar essence
(25 % acidity) into the water tank.
3. Put the iron on a saucepan with a diameter between 18
and 20 cm.
CAUTION:
Put the appliance only on a heat-resistent surface!
WARNING:
• Always remove the mains lead before cleaning!
• Wait until the machine has cooled down completely!
• Under no circumstances should you immerse the appliance in wa-
ter for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might result in an electric
shock or fire.
CAUTION:
• Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.

4. Set the on / off switch to "I" to turn the appliance on.
5. Set the temperature control to the second symbol
6. Turn the steam flow controller to "MAX".
7. Snap the steam button .
NOTE:
In case steam escapes from the appliance use the temper-
ature control to reduce the temperature.
8. Let the entire tank content flow through the iron until the
indicator light
9. Press the steam button
10. Turn the temperature control to "MIN" and set the on / off
switch to "O".
11. Remove and thoroughly rinse the water tank.
12. To clean the soleplate from inside, fill the water tank until
the "MAX" mark with clean tap water. Repeat the steps
3 - 10.
13. Iron a clean, old cloth for a few times to remove all
residues.

Let the appliance cool down!
Clean the ironing base with a slightly damp cloth.

Cleaning

• Clean the casing with a slightly damp cloth.
• Clean the sole plate and the rest with a slightly damp
cloth.
• Any residual water can remain in the water tank, but
should be poured out if it has been in the tank for a pro-
longed period.
