5 Operating instructions
1. Extent of Delivery
• HDMI™-to-VGA converter
• These operating instructions
2. Safety Instructions
• The product is intended for private, non-commercial
use only.
• Protect the product from dirt, moisture and
overheating and use it in dry rooms only.
• Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any
major shocks.
• Do not open the device or continue to operate it if it
becomes damaged.
3. Putting into service and operation
• Set both devices (the PC/notebook/tablet as well
as the monitor/TV/projector) to the same screen
resolution to enable a smooth transmission.
• Switch on the PC/notebook/tablet and the monitor/
TV/projector, completely start up all devices.
• Connect the adapter with the HDMI™ output of your
PC/notebook/tablet.
• Then connect a VGA cable at first with the adapter
and afterwards with the monitor/TV/projector.
• If necessary activate the VGA input in the menu of
your monitor/TV/projector.
Note
• Generally observe the operating instructions
of all devices that are to be connected.
• Current HDMI™ outputs transmit both video
and audio signals. Because the VGA input
can only process a video signal, the adapter
is also equipped with a 3.5 mm jack for
sound.

4. Exclusion of Warranty
No warranty shall be granted or liability accepted in
case of inappropriate or improper use of the product,
incorrect installation, incorrect or negligent handling
and non-observance of the operating instructions
and safety notes by the purchaser or any third party.
Plugging in or attempting to operate a damaged unit,
or using the equipment outside the specifications laid
out in the operating instructions shall not be permitted.

6. Compliances
US: FCC, Part 15, Class B
This equipment has been tested and found to comply
with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant
to Part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits are designed
to provide reasonable protection against harmful
interference in a residential installation. This equipment
generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy
and, if not installed and used in accordance with the
instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio
communications. However, there is no guarantee that
interference will not occur in a particular installation. If
this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio
or television reception, which can be determined by turn-
ing the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged
to try to correct the interference by one or more of the
following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and
the receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit
different from that to which the receiver is connected.
