These operating instructions concern the following contact-less operating claw pressure/vacuum pumps: ZEPHYR KLR
All models have nominal capacities of 80 and 140 m
on the data plate (N). The pumping curves showing capacity against pressure, can be found in data sheet D 883.
Description
The ZEPHYR KLR are two shaft, rotary lobe pressure/vacuum pumps, where two claws are rotating contact-less and dry
in opposite directions in a housing and are synchronised by a pair of gears. The pumping chamber is oil free. The
synchronised drive gears and the A-side bearings for the rotors are oil lubricated. The drive gears and the A-side bearings
are fitted into a gear chamber which also contain the oil tank. The oil tank is designed so that at all rotational speeds,
bearings and gears are supplied with the correct amount of oil.
The pumping chamber is separated from the gear chamber using labyrinth seals.
The ZEPHYR KLR is enclosed in a sound box. The cooling takes place over the coupling fan. The fresh cool air (E) is
sucked in and the warm air is exhausted through the vents (F). The compressed (R) air aftercooler supplies a low blast
air temperature.
All ZEPHYR KLR are driven by a direct flanged three phase, standard TEFV motor via a coupling (with Elastomer item).
As protection for overload limitation valves (ZUV) and (ZBD) are built on in series.
Optional extras: As required, non-return valve (ZRZ), dust separator (ZFP) and motor starter (ZMS).
