Antenna
In the PMR version, due to governmental regulations, the antenna is
fixed, i.e. non-detachable.

Never transmit without an antenna, damages to to the radio would
occur. Only use the antenna that is included in the scope of delivery.
Battery Pack
To attach the battery pack (11), place the battery pack into the opening on the rear
of the radio, at a distance of appr. 5 mm to the top. Then push the battery down and
up, the lock will snap in.
To detach the battery pack, move the snap-in closure, located at the bottom of the
radio, in direction of the arrow and push the battery pack away from the radio case.
Charging
Prior to first use, the battery pack has to be charged. A complete charging cycle takes
approximately 5-6 hours.
For charging, place the battery pack, either stand-alone or attached to the radio, with
the guides, located at the left and right bottom sides of the battery pack, into the ac-
cording counterpieces in the charging mould.
During the charging process, the LED is red. Once charging is completed, the LED
turns green. Remove the battery pack from the charger.
On / Off
To turn the radio on, turn the On / Off switch (5) clockwise beyond the barrier. A beep
tone is emitted if the beep tone function is activated. There are 5 different tones available.
To turn off the radio, please turn the On / Off switch (5) counterclockwise beyond the
barrier.
Volume Control
To change the volume level use the combined On/Off-Volume key (5). The display will
show the symbol VOL and the volume level (00-10).
To set a comfortable volume level after turning the radio on, activate the squelch off
function by pressing the according multi-functional key PF1/2 (9) (has to be programmed
via software) while adjusting the volume level with the combined On/Off-Volume key (5).
