5. Typical applications
for the VR 6
- As a multiple-channel wireless
system:
For a typical setup in a live con-
cert situation, use each channel
for a different instrument, e.g. gui-
tar, vocals, bass and keyboards.
Connect the individual channel
outputs to separate mixer chan-
nels or instrument amplifiers.

The VR 6's built-in PFL function
Possible source
- Transmitter battery too weak or reverse-connected
- Power supply cord of receiver not plugged in
- Improper connection at transmitter audio input
- Transmitter or receiver are not turned on or are operating on different
channels
- Antennas not connected or not pulled out
- Channel 'Clip' LED (8) lights up: transmitter gain setting too high.
Reduce gain by turning the gain adjusting screw (1) counterclockwise
- Master 'Clip' LED (31) lights up: reduce channel levels (14)
- Receiver output too high for subsequent device: reduce channel levels (14)
and/or master level (30)
- Noise suppression threshold is set too low: turn 'Mute' control (12)
clockwise
- Noise suppression threshold is set too high: turn 'Mute' control (12)
counterclockwise
- Antennas have not been drawn out to their entire length or are standing
too close to each other
- Receiver is too close to a digital device (e.g. effects processor). Move
receiver or antennas to a different location
- Contact problems with transmitter battery. Carefully re-tighten transmitter
battery terminals
- Transmitter gain control set too low. Re-calibrate transmitter gain following
instructions in chapter 4
- 'To Master' switch (22) on back side of receiver module in wrong position
- Channel 'Level' control (14) in '0' position
- 'PFL' button (15) not depressed while 'PFL to Master' function is active
- 'PFL to Master' function is active, defeating the 'Level' controls
- Channel 'Level' control (14) is set to '0' position
- Battery has been inserted with wrong polarity

can also be used as a conference
circuit. Depressing the 'PFL to
Master' button makes each chan-
