INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Introduction
To get the most out of your new sandwich toaster,
please read these instructions and the attached
safety regulations before use. Please also save the
instructions in case you need to remind yourself of
the sandwich toaster's functions at a later date.

Special safety regulations
The sandwich toaster's hotplates become

extremely hot during use. Do not touch the
hotplates while the sandwich toaster is
switched on or until the hotplates have cooled
down after use.
The sandwich toaster is not suitable for

outdoor use.
Check that there is sufficient space between

the sandwich toaster and other objects, etc.
when it is in use.
Allow the sandwich toaster to cool down
•
completely before putting it away.

Before use
Clean the hotplates with a damp cloth or sponge,
and wipe them with a small amount of cooking oil.
The first time you use the sandwich toaster the
hotplates may give off some smoke. This is
completely normal. It does not pose a health risk
and is not due to any fault with the sandwich
toaster.

Cleaning
Unplug the sandwich toaster and leave it to cool
down. It is easier to clean the appliance if the
hotplates are still slightly warm.
Do not use abrasive detergents or oven cleaner
when cleaning the sandwich toaster.
Wipe the hotplates with a damp cloth. Remove
burnt-on food by applying a small amount of
cooking oil and leaving it for a few minutes. You
should then be able to wipe the residue off.
Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
Insert the plug into the mains socket and
switch on the power. The red LED indicator
will light up.
Close the lid and allow the sandwich toaster to
heat up. When the sandwich toaster reaches
the optimum temperature, the red light will
go out and the green LED indicator will come
on (takes approx. 5 minutes).
Spread butter or margarine on two slices of
bread and prepare the desired filling.
Once the sandwich toaster has heated up, put
one slice of bread buttered side down on the
bottom hotplate. Place the filling on top of
the bread, and put the second slice of bread
on top with the buttered side up.
Close the lid.
Once the sandwich is cooked (approx. 3-5
minutes), lift the lid and remove the toasted
sandwich from the toaster using a palette knife
or similar wooden utensil. Never use metal
utensils on the hotplates, as these can damage
the hotplates' non-stick coating.
Always switch the sandwich toaster off when it
is not in use.
