Before fi rst use
ATTENTION!
■ Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. Danger of suffocation
exists!
■ When cleaning, do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaners. They could damage
the surface!
1. Unpack all parts and make sure that the scope of delivery is complete (see chapter
"Scope of delivery and device overview") and check for any damages from trans-
port. If you identify damages to the components, do not use them (!), instead contact
our customer service centre.
2. Before fi rst use, we recommend fi lling the water tank two to three times, each time
allowing the water to circulate without coffee powder/coffee pad in order to rinse out
the lines etc. and remove any production residue. Be sure to observe the notes in the
chapter "Use". Wait a few minutes before you repeat the cleaning process.
3. Clean the permanent fi lter, the permanent fi lter holder and thermo cup with warm
water and a small amount of detergent. Thoroughly dry them. Observe the instruc-
tions in the chapter "Cleaning and decalcifying the device" before fi rst cleaning.
4. Place the dry permanent fi lter and permanent fi lter holder back in the device.
