INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Shredding
Start the engine and allow it to warm up.
Twigs, hedge waste, plants and other clippings
with relatively thin stems can go into the hopper
(9) and be shredded.
Use a wooden stick or similar, if necessary, to push
the material down to the knives.
Remove the shredded material frequently from the
discharge chute using a shovel.
If the shredded material is to be used for
composting, it can go through the shredder
several times to reduce it further.
Remember that the discharge chute may become
blocked if the material is damp or contains a lot of
sap.
Chipping
Start the engine and allow it to warm up.
Branches and stems up to 76 mm in diameter can
be chipped in the shredder. Insert items into the
feed chute (6) through the feed nozzle (7). Do not
use force, just allow the shredder to work its way
through the item. The thicker the item, the longer
it will take to chip it.
Do not try to chip items that will not easily fit
through the feed nozzle opening.

Stopping the engine

Reduce the engine speed to minimum using the
throttle lever. Then close the throttle and set the
on/off switch to "Stop".
ENGLISH

Sharpening the knives

If the garden shredder begins to sound laboured
or to run more slowly, or if the V-belt slips even
though it is sufficiently taut, check whether the
knives have become blunt.
Check that the engine is stopped and that the
spark plug cover (19) has been removed from the
spark plug and secured, so there is no danger of
contact with the spark plug.
Remove the cover from the knives.
Remove the grille in front of the discharge chute.
Turn the knife shaft to a suitable position. Wear
gloves!
Remove the fixing screw from the pair of knives
and remove them.
Sharpen the knives at an angle of 40-45 degrees.
Do not apply too much pressure during
sharpening (discolouration or tempering are signs
of this).
The knives should be sharpened equally. If the
knives do not weigh the same, this will result in
increased vibration and greater wear and tear on
the shredder during use.
Refit the knives and other parts in reverse order.
