Set-up
When setting up the loudspeakers, make sure that they are on a stable footing
and that you fi nd a correspondingly stable set-up surface.
Serious injury to persons can be caused if the loudspeakers fall down.
Do not place the loudspeakers in the direct vicinity of TV sets or computer moni-
tors. There is the risk that the magnetic fi elds generated by the loudspeakers
could distort the picture.
• Set up the speakers at the desired location on a stable and fl at surface.
• In doing so, also pay attention to the location of the electrical outlet.
• To achieve the best possible sound, apply the following positioning suggestions to the extent
possible in your listening space:
Place the loudspeakers in locations that are as equidistant as possible to the location from
where you will be listening (equilateral triangle).
The tweeters should be approximately at the height of your ears.
Experiment with your setup possibilities and also with the alignment of your loud-
speakers a little bit to determine the best location in your listening room.
Audio connection
For the signal connection, use only the cables provided or other shielded con-
nection cables suitable for this purpose. Use of other cables may lead to inter-
ference.
To avoid distortion or mismatched connections, which could damage the
speakers, connect only devices with a cinch or headphone output to the signal
input LINE IN.
The connecting cables may not be pinched or damaged by sharp edges.
Before connecting the speakers, switch off the speakers themselves and all
other devices that are to be connected to them, and then disconnect the de-
vices from the mains power supply.
Proceed in the same way when changing the circuit.
• Connect the connection SPEAKER OUT TO RIGHT of the left speaker to the connection
SPEAKER IN FROM LEFT of the right speaker. For this purpose, use the speaker cable pro-
vided (open cable ends). Always connect the positive and negative connections to each other.
• Connect the signal output of your audio source to the connection LINE IN. A suitable cable for
this connection is also provided.
• If desired, an active subwoofer can be connected to the connection SUB OUT (1).
• The USB connection (2) is not used with this model. Please do not connect anything here.
Mains Connection
Make sure that the speakers are switched off before connecting to the mains
voltage (turn the VOLUME dial to the setting "OFF").
• Connect the low-voltage plug of the power supply to the connection DC IN 17V.
• Plug the power cable into the corresponding socket on the power supply.
• Plug the mains plug into a wall mains socket.

Operation

• The VOLUME dial (3) is used to switch the speaker on and off.
• Turn the dial all the way to the left, until it clicks, to turn off the speakers.
• Turn the dial to the right to switch the speakers on.
• The further to the right you turn the VOLUME dial (3), the higher the volume is.
Maintenance and Care
The active monitor boxes are maintenance-free.
Please use a soft, dry, clean cloth for cleaning.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions, as the housing surfaces or the
membranes could be damaged.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed of in the
household waste!
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.
