Warnings for the Use of the Appliance
WARNING:
• Oils and fats can ignite if overheated. Caution is
advised! Do not forget to switch off the appliance after
use! To do this, set the power switch to the O position
and then pull the mains plug out of the socket.
• Keep a safe distance from easily flammable objects
such as furniture, curtains, etc.
• Do not move or carry the hot appliance while it is in
operation! Risk of burns!
Avoid Damaging the Non-Stick Coated Grill Surfaces!
CAUTION:
• Only use wooden or teflon spatulas or turners for the
grill plates. Do not use utensils made of plastic. They
can melt.
• Do not work with sharp objects (e. g. knife, fork) on the
grill surface.
Notes for Use
• The non-stick grill surfaces allow you to prepare food
without grease.
• If you want to use oil, you should use an oil that can be
heated to a high temperature, such as sunflower oil.
Do not use olive oil, butter or margarine, as these fats
develop smoke even at low temperatures.
• Do not use frozen food. Defrost them beforehand.
• Dab wet food dry with a cloth.
• Only use the spatulas supplied for the pans.

Electrical Connection
CAUTION:
You can connect up to four appliances in series!
- This results in a total output of 1400 W. With this
connected load, we recommend a separate supply line
with a 16 A household circuit breaker.
- If an extension lead is used, it should have a cable
cross-section of at least 1.5 mm².
- Do not use a multiple socket as this appliance is too
powerful.
- Do not use the connecting cable as an extension
cable!
1. Check that the mains voltage matches that of the appli-
ance. You will find the relevant information on the type
plate on the underside of the appliance.
2. Make sure that the power switches are in the O position.
3. Position the appliances next to each other.
4. Establish the power connection with the connection
cable.
5. Ensure that the connecting cable cannot come into
contact with hot appliance parts.
6. Insert the IEC mains plug from the mains cable into the
socket (7).
7. Only connect the appliance to a properly installed
earthed socket.
- Make sure that the cable is laid in such a way that
nobody can pull on it or trip over it.
Switching the Appliance On / Off
• The appliance is switched off when the power switch is
in the O position.
• The lighting in the power switch indicates active heating
mode.
Before First Use
There is a protective layer on the heating element which
burns when the appliance heats up. As a result, there may
be a slight development of smoke and odour when using
the appliance, but these will subside after a few uses. This
is not a defect.
• You can minimise the smoke development by wiping the
heating element with a slightly damp cloth before using it
for the first time.
• Do not use any cleaning agents!
• Wipe with a dry cloth.
• Only switch on the appliance when it is completely dry.
• Always ensure sufficient ventilation.
1. Lightly grease the pans and the griddle.
2. Place the grill plate on the bars and place the pans on
the shelf.
3. Operate the appliance for about 10 minutes without grilling
food so that the protective layers can remove. To do this,
set the power switches to the position I.
