2. BEFORE USE

- This freezer includes a packaging designed to protect it during transport. Take the freezer
out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other
packaging elements in a safe place, this will help you prevent product damage when
transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all
packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
- Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any
piece missing or not in good condition, immediately contact the official Cecotec Technical
Support Service.
Pre-checking
- Before starting to use the freezer, check that:
- The interior is dry and there is enough space for air to circulate freely at the rear.
- Clean the inside of the freezer according to the recommendations in the "Cleaning and
maintenance" section.
- Connect the plug into a power socket; the red light on the freezer will come on. The green
light will come on and the compressor will start running.
- You will hear a noise indicating that the compressor has started to run. Liquid and gases
within the refrigeration system may also give rise to noises, whether the compressor is
running or not, indicating normal operation.
- If you are going to store already frozen food, open the freezer door and check that the
freezer has reached the correct temperature. You can then insert already frozen food.
- Do not store food in the appliance immediately after switching it on. Wait for it to reach
the correct storage temperature.
