Installation
To temporarily install the pickup, loosen the clamps and position the pickup in
the soundhole, parallel to and as close to the end of the fingerboard as possi-
ble. Gently re-tighten the clamps and allow the cable to hang out through the
soundhole. The clamps are lined with natural cork, which will not interact with the
guitars finish.
You may also have the endpin jack permanently installed in the guitar by a
professional installer. Instructions are available at fishman.com/support.
To prevent possible damage to the guitar finish, avoid leaving the cable in
contact with your instrument for prolonged periods of time.
If your string balance is not consistent due to the guitar's action, raise the quieter
side of the pickup with a shim. These pickups are voiced for bronze or phosphor
bronze strings; using nickel electric guitar strings will cause the lower wound
strings to overpower the higher strings.
