INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
FUEL
Use Bio-ethanol (also named Denatured Ethanol or Methylated Spirits) The burning of ethanol and denatured
ethanol produces only small amounts of CO/CO2 carbon dioxide and water vapor which enables the fire-
places that burn this fuel to go unvented to the outside. Unlike the the common fireplace, the burning of bio
fuel does not spit out sparks, it leaves no ash or soot and does not create any odor. Once the fuel has been
consumed, there is nothing to clean.
The fuel is commercially available around the world in liquid form, as well as in a gel fuel form. Denatured
ethanol is often also refereed to as denatured alcohol, methylated spirits and bio ethanol. Unlike pure ethanol,
denatured ethanol is modified by ethanol producers to avoid human consumption. Bio-ethanol should be
stored in a cool and dry place, out of reach of children.
CAUTION:
Any spilled ethanol must be promptly wiped up with an absorbent tissue and cleaned with water to avoid ig-
nition outside the burner reservoir. Keep fuel at a safe distance (minimum 1 m / 40 inches) from the fireplace,
and do not place fuel in front of the burning fireplace.
CAUTION:
•
Fuel will burn low initially. Allow 10-15 minutes for it to reach optimum temperature and flame height.
•
Always maintain a safe distance of at least 1 meter (40 inches) from the fireplace when the flame is lit.
EXTINGUISHING
•
Let the fuel burn out completely if possible. If you wish to extinguish the fire before the fuel has
completely burned out. Please use the extinguish cover to fully cover the burner hole in a fast motion,
completely extinguish the flame.
•
In case the flame is not extinguished immediately. Repeat the above instructions until the flame is fully
extinguished.
•
Do not touch the fireplace while burning. Please allow at least 15 minutes to cool down before touch-
ing the fireplace after flame is extinguished.
•
It is urgently recommended that you keep a Class B fire extinguisher at hand close
to the device in case of fire.
CAUTION: NEVER EXTINGUISH THE FLAME WITH WATER!
