Drain the tank before storing the machine.
22 ASSEMBLY
The bio-shredder R70 is usually provided partially mounted for transport reasons. Before starting to assemble the machine, wear
protective gloves and carry out the following procedures using as reference the images you find in the first pages of this handbook.
Insert the axle (R070022) between the right flank (R070043) and the left flank (R070042). Then screw the right flank and the left
flank to the sides of the machine with the screws (V825Z) and nuts (M8AUTZF). Tighten the rubber feet (D04020) with their nuts
(M8AUTZF). Pic. 1A
Mount the wheels (NGR0450A) on the axle and block them with their specific washers (RDFP20). Pic. 1B
Apply the loading hopper (R070021) to the body of the machine and fasten it with the flange nuts (M8AUTZF). Mount the handle
(M443/140N) on the upper part of the loading hopper with the screws (V825TCEIZ), and the nuts (M8AUTF). Pic. 1C
Screw the knob (NGR0545A) till its end. Pic. 1D
23 TRASPORTATION
The machine transportation can be carried out only by authorized means. Make sure the machine engine has been turned off during
transportation.
Should the machine be lifted, use the lifting hook on the structure and a band about 1 meter long.
24 USAGE INFORMATION
24.1
WORKING TIME
According to the rules about the protection against noises, shredders can only be used in predetermined time periods established by
the existing law of the country where the machine is used
24.2 M
ACHINE START UP
Place the bio-shredder on a dry and flat ground. Make sure that all protection guards are closed.
Turn the engine on by following the instructions of the manual and let it warm up for about two minutes, Once this operation has been
carried out, bring the engine to its maximum revolutions (the accelerating lever must be to its maximum capacity).
Attention!! While working the accelerating lever must always be in the maximum position.
24.3 U
SAGE
Use the machine at an ambient temperature between -15° C and 40° C.
Once the start up has been carried out, wear the gloves, the protective spectacles and protective cap. Insert leaves, branches and
other vegetable waste not wider than 50 mm in the loading hopper with the biggest end turned towards the chipping blade to ease the
shredding.
To achieve the best working and shredding conditions of the machine and you have to grasp with your hands the bundle of branches,
insert it in the hopper and slightly accompany it. If possible avoid the material from being dragged too violently in order not to overload
the engine too much. Should the descent of the leaves, grass and humid material towards the cutting tools be difficult, we advise you
to alternate the shredding of these materials with the shredding of branches (not wider than 50 mm of diameter) or to just push them
with a branch (always of a diameter less than 50 mm). We strongly advise not to shred too humid materials to avoid having problems
with the discharge of the material.
If the material is not dragged by the shredding group, but a strong manual push is necessary, it means that the blade has lost its
cutting wire and that you must sharpen it or substitute it following the instructions contained in paragraph 7.2.
24.4 A
CCIDENTAL CASES AND PROCEDURES TO FOLLOW
The bio-shredder does not work loadless
Follow the engine instruction manual and if the problem persists, call the assistance centre.
Addresses and phone numbers can be found in the engine manual delivered with the machine instruction manual.
Check not to have screwed the knob (P) completely on the hopper (Pic. 2). Make sure the sensor has not been disconnected.
Blocking of the cutting assembly because too much material has been introduced into the machine or because of an accidental
fall of stones or metals
Turn the engine off as fast as possible and wear safety gloves. Clean the bio-shredder as explained in the "Maintenance" paragraph.
Every time a blocking of the bio-shredder occurs, due to the above mentioned causes, always check the correct efficiency of the blade
and the belt transmission.
Blocking of the shredding assembly when introducing material – difficulty in shredding due to the few power available on the shredder
and shifting of the belt
Turn the engine off as fast as possible and wear protective gloves. Check the belts and stretch them as described in "Maintenance"
paragraph.
Blocking of the bio-shredder due to lack of fuel
Fill the tank with the suitable fuel but DO NOT start up the machine immediately after, because the machine might break down
because of the overheating of the belt.
If necessary clean the bio-shredder as described in "Maintenance - Cleaning of the bio-shredder" paragraph.
