Getting started
Create all connections while the device is switched off.
Use the shortest possible high-quality DMX cables for all
connections. Install the device on a plane surface.
DMX connection
Connect the DMX output of the FD-12+1 to the DMX input
of the first fixture. Then connect the DMX output of the first
fixture in the DMX chain to the DMX input of the next
fixture. Always connect one output to the input of the next
fixture until all fixtures are connected. For long connection
cables it is recommended to terminate the DMX line. Plug
a terminating plug with a 120
and signal (+) to the DMX output of the last unit.
Power supply
Connect the power adapter provided to the corresponding
input on the controller and to a mains socket. Thus, a
battery inserted will be switched off. Turn on the unit with
the power switch. The power indicator lights up. After the
operation, turn off the unit and disconnect the mains plug
of the power adapter from the socket, to prevent
unnecessary power consumption.

Battery operation
A 9V battery may be used to operate the controller. To
insert or change the battery, switch off the unit first. Then
loosen the screws located at the edges of the base plate.
Do not loosen the three screws in the middle of the base
plate. Carefully remove the base plate. Take care not to
damage the cable. Insert or change the battery. Remount
the base plate without squeezing the cables. Insert and
tighten the screws.
If the controller is not used for a longer period, please
remove the battery to prevent damage in case of battery
leakage.
