■ Do not carry or pull the product by the mains cord. Keep the
mains cord away from hot surface (including the product),
avoid catching it in doors, pulling it over sharp edges or cor-
ners.
■ Always pull on the mains plug and never on the mains cord.
■ Do not expose the product to extreme temperatures, severe
changes in temperature or moisture.
■ Do not allow the product to fall or be exposed to severe im-
pacts.
■ Maintain adequate distance to heat sources such as stovetops,
ovens, fi replaces or burning candles.

Use
ATTENTION
■ Danger of electrocution! The metal grate of the product is
under electric voltage. It must not be touched.
■ The product must not be used if it exhibits visible damages.
1. Unpack the product contents and remove all protective fi lms
or stickers. Check all parts for any transport damages. Do not
use the product if it exhibits damages (!), instead contact cus-
tomer service.
2. Place the product on a level, stable and heat-resistant surface
or use the hanger (1) to hang it up in a suitable position. Make
sure that there is enough clearance around the product (min.
30 cm around the sides, min. 50 cm overhead).
3. Be absolutely sure to observe the safety notes on assembly
(see section "Avoiding damage to materials, property and
product damage").
4. Insert the product in a properly installed socket that is easily
accessible.
5. Switch the product on by setting the On/Off switch (2) to posi-
tion I (On). The light (5) will turn on and the metal grate (3) will
be supplied with electricity.
6. To switch the product off, move the On/Off switch (2) to posi-
tion 0 (Off).
7. Disconnect the product from the power supply when it is not
to be used.

Cleaning and storage
ATTENTION
■ Let the product cool off completely before you clean it.
■ Make sure that the product can not get wet or fall in water.
■ Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning products to clean
the product! They could damage the surface.
Insects must be regularly removed from the product. We
recommend cleaning the product at least once a week or
more frequently.
1. Make sure that the product is not connected to the power sup-
ply!
2. Remove the screw on the bottom of the product.
3. Turn the collecting bowl (4) slightly anticlockwise and remove
it.
4. Remove the dead insects with a cloth or cleaning brush.
5. If necessary, carefully clean the metal grate (3) with a soft, dry
cleaning brush.
6. Screw the collecting bowl (4) back onto the product and turn it
clockwise until tight.
7. Tighten the screw again.
8. If necessary, wipe the product off with a soft, dry cloth on the
outside. Heavily laden dirt can be wiped off with a soft, damp
cloth.
9. Store the product in a dry area that is out of the reach of chil-
dren and animals and that is not exposed to direct sunlight.

Disposal
The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the pack-
aging in an environmentally-friendly manner and make it
available to the collection service for recyclable materials.
Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly man-
ner. It does not belong in the household garbage. Dispose
of it at a recycling centre for old electrical and electronic
equipment. You can obtain more information from the ad-
ministration in your community.
