Proper use
• The product is intended to repel insects using electricity.
• The product is only suitable for use indoors. Do not install in
barns, hutches or similar buildings.
• The product is designed for private use and is not intended for
commercial use.
• Only use the product as described in the instructions. Any
other use is deemed improper.
• Defects arising due to improper handling or damage are ex-
cluded from the warranty. This also applies to normal wear
and tear.
Safety notes
This product is not designed to be used by per-

sons (including children) with impaired physi-
cal, sensory or mental abilities or those lacking
experience and/or knowledge unless they are
supervised by a person responsible for their
safety or have been instructed by said party in
how to use the product. Children must be under
supervision to ensure that they do not play with
the product.
Danger of electrocution! The metal

grate of the product carries electric volt-
age. It must not be touched.
Do not use the product in rooms containing
■
easily fl ammable dust or toxic and explosive va-
pours.
Warning: The light in this product cannot be re-

placed. If the light no longer works, the product
should be disposed of.
Always disconnect the product from the power
■
supply if it is not supervised and before cleaning
it.

The insects must be regularly removed from
■
the product. Use a cleaning brush or similar to
do so. Do not use any sharp or pointed objects
made of metal. They could damage the product.
The product is not intended to be operated with
■
an external timer or a separate telecontrol sys-
tem.
Store the product out of the reach of children.
■
If the product is damaged, it must be replaced
■
by the manufacturer, customer service or by a
similarly qualifi ed person (e.g. qualifi ed work-
shop) to avoid any risks.
Risk of injury
■ Risk of injury and suffocation! Children and animals must
be kept away from the product and packaging material.
■ Connected cords may not pose a tripping hazard.
Danger of electrocution
■ Only connect the product to a properly installed socket with
protective earth contacts. The socket must also be easily ac-
cessible after connecting so that the mains connection can be
quickly disconnected. The mains voltage must comply with the
technical data of the product.
■ Never submerge the product in water or other liquids! Make
sure that the product, the mains cord or the mains plug can not
fall in water or are at risk of getting wet.
■ If the product does fall in water, immediately disconnect the
power supply. Do not attempt to pull the connected product out
of the water!
■ Do not touch the product with wet hands. Do not use outdoors
or in rooms with a high humidity.
■ Switch the product off and pull the mains plug out of the socket:
– in the event of faults,
– in the event of a storm.
Fire hazard
■ Do not operate the product near fl ammable materials.
■ Do not insert anything into the openings of the product.
■ Do not cover the product during operation to prevent the de-
vice from catching fi re.
■ In case of fi re: Do not use water to extinguish it! Smother the
fl ames using a fi re-proof blanket or a suitable fi re extinguisher.
Avoiding damage to materials, property and product
damage
■ For your own safety, check the product for damages each time
before using it. Only use the product if it does not exhibit any
damage!
■ Setup: Set up the product on a level, stable, heat-resistant and
dry surface with enough room on all sides (min. 30 cm) as well
as above (min. 50 cm).
■ Hang up: Hang the product on a secure, solid area that is not
in the direct vicinity of other objects. Ensure that there is min.
30 cm of clearance on all sides and 50 cm above the product.
■ Use suitable mounting material to hang up the product. If you
are uncertain about the fastening material, consult a qualifi ed
outlet.
■ Before you drill a hole, ensure that there are no pipes or other
lines beneath the intended drilling site.
