Zweckbestimmung AMAneo MX ist ein HID-Multi-Adapter, mit dem an den Eingängen angeschlossenen Geräte und Bedienelemente Funktionen an den Ausgängen zugeordnet werden können. Das Gerät verfügt als Eingänge über 8 3,5mm-Klinkenbuchsen für gängige Taster oder Sensoren, zwei USB-A-Anschlüsse sowie eine Bluetooth®-Schnittstelle für HID-Devices wie Mäuse und Tastaturen.

Sollte der AMAneo MX auf Standard (BT / USB) stehen, wird dieser nicht an der Spielekonsole erkannt. Der AMAneo MX benötigt immer einen Microsoft Adaptive Cont- roller zum Verbinden mit einer Xbox.
