CAUTION
Prior to first use, we recommend boiling the maximum volume of water in the kettle at least 3 times, then
pouring it out. The kettle is then ready for operation.
The kettle may only be used with the supplied base.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Remove the kettle from the base (7), press the button for opening the lid (4), open the lid (1), and fill the
appliance with cold water within the permitted maximum only. If the water level in the kettle is under
the recommended minimum, the kettle will keep overheating and turning off prematurely.
Note: Make sure that the lid (1) is closed properly, otherwise the kettle can not turn off automatically
2.
Place the kettle on the base (7); electric contacts will get connected automatically. Thanks to the central
connector design, the kettle can turn around 360° and be put on the base from any side.
3.
Connect the base to the mains.
4.
Turn the kettle on by pressing the switch (6).
A control light on the switch (6) signals the kettle is in operation. The kettle lid (1) must be properly
closed when water is being heated.
WARNING!
Do not open the lid during heating or immediately after heating is completed. Hot steam could scald
you!
5.
After the boiling point has been reached, the kettle will turn off automatically, and the operating light
will go out. Water heating can be terminated prematurely by moving the switch (6) to the off position.
6.
Remove the kettle from the base (7) and use the hot water.
7.
If you want to reheat the water you have just finished boiling, wait for approximately 30 seconds before
reactivating the switch (6).
Note: It is not a sign of a defect when a small amount of water droplets appear on the kettle base (7). It is
a small amount of condensed steam, which deactivates the kettle thermostat.
