Connecting Headphones
Six R20-type batteries (not supplied) are neededif you wish to use
the player without connecting it to the mainssupply.
Press down on the two tabs on the rear panel of the player to open the
battery compartment.

Insertthe six R20-type batteries,takingcareto respectthe polarities.

Close the battery compartment cover.
The batteries are not used when the player is connected
to the mains supply.
If you will be using the player for a long period of time, you should
connect it to the mainspower supply, especially when making an
important recording or listening to compact discs.
Plugthe mainsleadintothe socketon the rearof the player.
Plugthe other end of the leadintoan appropriate. wall socket.

You can adjust the volume and tone in line with your preferences.
Turn the VOLUME button to increase or decrease the volume as required.
Tum the TONE button in the direction
LOW to accentuate the bass frequencies
to accentuate the treble frequencies
HIGH
Pressthe SBS buttonto obtaina more powerful,true-to-lifesound (press
the samebuttonagainto deactivatethe SBSfeature).
You can connect a set of headphonesto your radio cassetteplayer.
I Connect t heheadphones to the3.5mmmini.jack socket.
Result: The loudspeakers are nolongerusedto outputthe sound.
Prolonged use of headphones at a high volume may
damage your hearing.
