INSTALLATION
Thehoodis availablein the ductingversion(air evacuated outsidetheroom)or thefifteringversion
inside the room).
1) Thefollowing operations a reessential for assembly: Instala properwiringsystem. I f your apparatus i s to
be assembled as a Ductingappliance, y ou mustfirst makethe air ventinghoveand get a properpipe to connect
theholeto theflange of thehood; u seanoutlet p ipewith:- minimum indispensable length; - minimum possibie bends
(maximum angleot bend:900); - certified material (according t o theState); - anas smooth as possible inside.It is
alsoadvisable to avoidanydrasticchangesin pipecross-section ( recommended diameter: 1 25mm).Forairevacuation
to the outside, follow ali the instructions given on the "Warnings' sheet.
Makean air evacuationhole in the wall (diameter 133 mm)as shown in Fig. 1 which givesail the measurementsrequired
for the various possible installations,
2) Somemodels arefittedwithan upperair vent(Fig.2B)anda rearair vent(Fig.2A) c losed by a platethat
must be removedif you wish to use it. Fit the flange (C) on the vent used; if you use the rear vent, close the
upper one with the cap (E) to be orderedfrom your dealer.
Some models are fitted with 2 air vents, one in the upper part (Fig. 2B) and one at the rear (Fig. 2A), which you can use
as required.Fitthefiange(C)onthevent usedandciosetheotheronewiththe cap(E).
In thefiltering version, youdo notneedtc closeanyvent,butposition the'evercorrectly (seepoint 7 )

take 2 ofthesupp\ied screws ( Fig. 4 G)andscrew them intotheuppermost anchors without tightening them. A ttach
thehoodto the 2 screwsand, workingfrominside,fullytightenthem.Completemounting by insertingandtightening
the other 2 screws H (Fig. 4).
4) Mounting under a wall unit
(Fig.2B),beforemounting, d rill a 133mmdiameter h olein thewall unit(Fig.5).
Drill 4 holes inthewallunitusingthemeasurements shown inFig.6.Attach thehood with4screws working frominside
the wall unit.
5)For theducting v ersion: connect aIlex tubetothehood flange using ametal retainer ciamp. The tube and clamp
are not included in the supply.

the filtering version. Ifthey are not y et i nstaned inthehood, titit/them asfollows depending onthemodel you have purchased:
- ifthehood is fittedwithround charcoal filters(Fig.11R),titthecharcoal filterbyturning itanticlockwise. - ifthehood
isfitted withapanel charcoal tilter(Fig. 8 Aor9AorIOA), p osition t hecharcoal filter inside thehood and fitthe2filter
olips (M)tolockthecharcoal fi\ter. Theducting v ersion d oes notrequire t hecharcoal filker/s, lherefore, ifalready f illed
in the hood

OPERATION
The hoods are provided with the followmg type of controis:

Grease filter's: Depending on the version,the hoodfeaturesdifferenttypes of greasefilters:
Modular metal filters (ofthetypeshown i nFig.14): t hese aremetal tilters a ndmust b eperiodically
on extentof operation (at least every two months).Washthe filterswith neutraldetergent.

Lighting: - Toreplace theincandescent
Replace with lamps of the same type.
-Toremove thehalogen 'amps , unscrew t hering nutbyturning i tanticicckwise
ofthesame type. W ARNING: Donottouchthenewlampwithbarehands. S hould thehalogen lampsnot
work after replacingthem,cut the powerto the hoodfor afew seconds.
Iftheductingversionofthehoodis mounted withtheairoutletintheupperopening
lamps r emove theEight fitting after u nscrewing
