Operation
a) Installation
• Remove all packaging material and place all components on a clean, flat surface,
e.g. a table.
• Remove the three screws and metal plate from the column end using a Phillips
screwdriver.
• Hold the column with motor housing upside down and insert the foot switch unit (23)
onto the column end, connecting the switch terminals. Make sure that the foot
switch unit is inserted far enough into the column end.
• Then place the glass stand (29) on the column end and foot switch unit. Align the
three screw openings on the glass stand to the threads on the column end. Replace
the metal plate and screw the stand to the column end and foot switch unit.
• Now place the column with motor housing, foot switch unit and glass stand upright
onto a stable, even and clean surface. The glass stand is outfitted with rubber feet.
• Turn the cap nut (8) clockwise and the fastening nut for the rear protective grille (10)
counter clockwise to loosen.
• Place the rear protective grille (11) onto the motor housing so that the pins are
inserted into the two upper openings and the lower opening on the protective grille
to hold the grille in place. Screw the fastening nut for the rear protective grill (10)
on clockwise.
• Place the fan blade (9) onto the rotor shaft (12). The two pins on the rear side of the
rotor shaft must be aligned with the notches behind the fan blade.
• Screw the cap nut (8) counter clockwise back on to fasten the fan blade. Hold the
fan blade with one hand to tighten the cap nut. Tighten the cap nut by hand only.
Risk of injury! The fan blade edges are very sharp.

• Loosen the Phillips screw (7) from the grille ring (5) to release the safety strap (6).
Hang the grille ring on the front protective grill (4) first. There are two pins near the
top of the grille ring that are inserted into the protective grille to hold it in place.
Make sure that the guides on the grille ring are positioned evenly on the rear
protective grille. Pull the grille ring slightly so that it is taut.
• Then mount the front protective grille and grille ring to the rear protective grill.
• Close the safety strap (6) and use a Phillips screwdriver to screw the Phillips
screw  (7) into the opening at the bottom of the grille ring to securely close the
protective grille.
• Place the wool fiber pad (2) into the fragrance chamber (3). Place the fragrance
chamber cover (1) onto the odor booth. Secure the fragrance chamber cover by
turning it clockwise.
b) Installation location
• Carry the product by the handle located on the motor housing. Place the product
with the stand (29) onto a dry, clean, level and stable surface.
c) Inserting batteries into the remote control
• Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control (31) and insert two
34
1.5 V/DC AAA batteries (included).
33
• Heed correct polarity (+/-) when inserting batteries.
32
• When using the remote control, always point the remote control transmitter at the
fan's control panel. The remote control features a range of up to 6 meters.
• You can hang the remote control on the back of the column to store it.
d) Turning device on/off, adjusting fan speed and oscillation settings
• The fan can be operated via the button panel (26), the foot switch (30) or the remote
control (31). The remote control's functions are identical to those on the fan itself,
excluding the -ION button (37). The button labels are identical on the fan and
the remote control, but the form of the button differs. The buttons on the fan are
described below.
• Connect the mains plug (22) to a suitable wall socket.
• Use the set screw (20) and metal tube (18) to adjust the height of the fan. Retighten
the set screw when you have finished adjusting the height.
• Push the ON/SPEED button (35) to turn on the fan. The LED indicator (25) on the
control panel (24) shows the current speed. Push the ON/SPEED button to change
the speed in the following order: LOW (low speed) → MED (medium speed) → HIGH
(high speed) → LOW.
• Change the direction of air flow by pushing the SWING button (32) to activate
oscillation. Push the SWING button to change the oscillating function in the
following order:
→ Fan oscillates horizontally from right to left
→ Fan oscillates vertically from top down
→ Fan oscillates horizontally from left to right and vertically from top down
→ Oscillation ceases and the direction of air flow is held at the last position.
• The direction of oscillation is indicated by horizontal and vertical arrows on the
device. The corresponding LED indicator lights up for the current oscillator setting.
• The direction of air flow can also be adjusted manually. You can manually move
the grille from left to right and up and down. The motor housing clicks to various
positions. Do not move the motor housing manually while oscillation is activated.
Do not exert any force, the setting angles are limited. For more, see Technical Data /
Airflow Area, manual.
• Push the OFF button (36) to turn off the fan.
• The device saves your last setting. The next time you turn the fan on, it starts on the
most recent setting.
e) Foot switch
• You can use the foot switch to turn the fan on/off and to adjust the speed.
• Press the foot switch ON/SPEED (30) to turn the fan on and set the speed. Press the
foot switch to change the speed. The LED indicator (25) on the control panel (24)
shows the current speed setting (LOW / MED / HIGH).
• Press the foot switch OFF to turn off the fan.
f) Timer button
• Push the TIMER button (33) to set a turn-off time from 0.5 to 7.5 hours in half hour
increments.
• The LEDs show the set time on the device.
• The fan turns off automatically after the set time runs down.
