GENERAL INFORMATION

4.1 Validity
This Technical Information is valid for the REHAU RELAZZO screen system set
off by an aluminium frame and other system components.
4.2

Area of application

The RELAZZO screen system is not approved by the Building Inspectorate, and
therefore is only designed as a screen for vertical application and cannot be
used for free-standing constructional purposes. Application as a sun shield or
playing surface (goal, dart board, ...) is not permitted.
Local building regulations are to be observed accordingly.
The RELAZZO screen system is designed for all-year-round outdoor use
under normal weather conditions. To do this, the screen must be permanently
anchored to the ground with specially designed system bases.

It is recommended under extreme weather conditions (gales, thunderstorm,
freezing rain) that you do not remain near to the screen, as it does not offer
sufficient protection (lightning, collapse).
In the case of assembly on a roof terrace, it is to be noted that, in extreme
cases, significantly higher loads can arise due to the weather (wind) than in
the case of assembly to the ground. This could cause the screen to collapse,
possibly resulting in personal injury.
4.3 Ecology/Cost-efficiency
RAU-WOOD profiles
The Wood-Polymer-Composite profiles consist of high quality polypropylene
and at least 50% wood fibres from sustainable European forests (PEFC-
certified). In line with a sustainable, environmentally friendly ecology the
profiles are fully recyclable.

System components

The whole system, as well as the frame made from a high quality aluminium
alloy, impress with their long life and easy maintenance.
The two floor anchor or screw-on base plate fixing variants are made from
hot-dip galvanised steel sheets. The bases are constructed from hot dip
galvanised steel.
The RELAZZO screen system can be assembled and dismantled quickly and
easily.
All of the individual parts can be disposed of separately. Disposal can gener-
ally take place at the local recycling facility.
Due to the wood content of over 50 %, the WPC profiles are classified in the
Waste Wood Ordinance Class AIV and are considered as biomass. The locally
