Maintenance instructions

At Cascando, we believe that great design deserves great care. Our products are crafted from high-
quality materials, built to last – both visually and functionally. With regular maintenance, fabrics retain
their appearance, surfaces stay clean, and every detail continues to do what it was designed for:
bringing clarity, comfort and identity to any space.
Regular maintenance prevents premature wear and reduces the need for replacement – a small effort
with big impact on lifespan and sustainability. Periodically inspect the product for loose parts or signs
of wear. Lightly retighten visible screws or bolts if necessary – preferably once per quarter, depending
on usage.

Upholstery (furniture fabric)

Upholstery (furniture fabric) maintenance
High-quality upholstery retains its appearance and comfort best with regular care. Dust, light exposure,
and daily use can gradually affect the fabric's surface. With the right maintenance, you preserve both
the visual and functional quality of the product over time.
Weekly care
• Vacuum once or twice a week using a soft upholstery nozzle on low suction.
• For faux leather: wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
• Avoid using force while vacuuming – this can damage the foam underneath.
Periodic maintenance (2–3× per year)
• In commercial use, clean upholstered furniture at least 2–3 times per year.
• Use pH-neutral carbonated solutions or consult a professional upholstery cleaning service.
• Always check if faux leather is resistant to any disinfectant used – the wrong product may cause
irreversible damage.
Stain removal
• Gently remove solid residues with a blunt knife or spoon.
• Blot liquid stains with a clean, dry cloth – do not rub.
• For greasy stains: use an appropriate detergent, testing it first in a hidden spot.
• Do not rub microfibres too hard – use a hairdryer to speed up drying if necessary.
• Wool fabrics should never be saturated – this affects their natural dirt-repellent quality.
