Attention!
Every time before cleaning, make sure that the motor is off.
Never submerge the plug, the motor or the lead in water or other fluids; danger of electric shock!
Tips for the cooking process
- Do not open the lid too often during grilling, as this extends the cooking time.
- Check the internal temperature of the meat to be grilled with a meat thermometer before removing it from the grill.
- Do not leave the meat thermometer in the grill during preparation.
- Do not use the included plastic handle during grilling.
- Only put the handle on the rotary skewer to remove it from the grill.
Using a rear burner
If your grill has a rear burner, remove the grill grids and place a drip pan on the front burner under the food to be grilled.
Pour a few centimetres of water into the drip tray and add fruit juices or wine and, if necessary, other herbs or spices of
your choice. Insert the balanced filled rotary spit into the motor and switch the motor on.
Switch on the back burner, keep the lid closed during preparation and make sure that no fire is caused.
Barbecuing with the lid closed helps to maintain heat and humidity during preparation. Apply grease to the food several
times during preparation to keep it moist. Use a meat thermometer to check the cooking level. Do not leave it in the food
during preparation.
Direct cooking method
In this method of preparation, the food is cooked with direct heat. If your grill does not have a back burner, switch on the
burners located directly under the food to be grilled. Set the burners to a suitable power level, depending on the distance
of the food to be grilled from the flame. Beware of excessive flare-ups.
Indirect cooking method
Make sure that no heat is generated directly under the food to be grilled. Only use the burners that are located on the side
of the food to be grilled. Close the hood and maintain an average temperature of approx. 180° C by adjusting the burners
accordingly with the gas control knob.
Cleaning
Clean all parts of the rotary spit throughly bevore first use and after each further use with warm water and a commercial
detergent. Then rinse and dry the parts.
