Safety Instructions
Warning! Read this operating manual completely before you put the device together and start using it and observe the
safety instructions. Put this operating manual somewhere safe, so that you can read it again later. Should the device be
passed on to someone else, the operating manual must be handed over along with it. Please, also take note of the
operating manual of your grill.
Intended use
This device is only intended for grilling and preparing suitable foodstuffs in private households and is not suitable for
commercial use.
Installation and operating manual
Connect the motor only through a properly installed, earthed socket, with a voltage of 220 – 240 V~. This device is only
suitable for use in the open air. And when used in the open air, the device must be fed through a residual current
protective device (RCD) with a nominal tripping current not exceeding 30 mA. Always pull the plug from the socket when
the device is not in use, and also every time before you clean it and in case of operational faults.
- Always hold the plug and not the lead.
- Keep the lead away from hot surfaces and sharp edges.
- Don't let it just dangle and make sure that nobody can trip over it.
Warnings:
• Before using the rotary spit, read the installation and operating manual.
• Always keep the device within view.
• Always place a heat-resistant receptacle underneath the rotary spit, in order to collect dripping fat.
• When you do not use the rotary spit, physically remove the motor and store it in a dry place.
• Don't touch hot surfaces and wear heat-resistant gloves.
• This rotary spit may not be operated by children.
• The lead, plug and motor may never be submerged in water or other fluids, in order to prevent electric shock.
• When you do not use the rotary spit or when you are cleaning it, pull the plug of the motor out of the socket.
• Only use the rotary spit as intended.
• Make sure that the motor is off, before you mount it on its bracket.
• Do not use the motor of the rotary spit, if a lead or plug is damaged.
• Only use the rotary spit in the open air and guard it against rain.
• When grilling, fat may spray out; risk of burning or scalding!
• Store the device in a dry and dust-free place. Do not wrap the lead around the device and do not kink the lead.
• Because the rotary grill is in direct contact with foodstuffs, it must be cleaned after every use.
• Hot vapours may emerge when opening or closing the hood; risk of burning or scalding!
• Do not move the device whilst it is still hot or still contains hot foodstuffs; risk of burning or scalding!
Attention!
Keep the packaging away from children. The bags and foils are not toys. Be alert to them being pulled over the head or to
parts being swallowed. Danger of choking!
Attention!
Damage to the motor, because of the rotating bar getting blocked! Remove parts of foodstuffs that could impede the free
revolving of the rotating bar. Danger of burns, caused by hot air! Open the lid of the pre-heated grill slowly and don't hold
your head directly above the grill. Very hot air will be streaming upwards.
