Quick Guide for MD2000 Handheld Laser Barcode Scanner
The MD2000 Handheld Laser Barcode Scan-
ner is distributed by Minebea Intec and suita-
ble for the Compact Scale Puro® LargeCount.
1 General safety information
NOTICE: Warning of damage to property and/
or the environment.
The product was in perfect condition with
regard to safety features when it left the
factory. To maintain this condition and to
ensure safe operation, the user must follow
the instructions and observe the warnings in
the manual.
Follow these safety precautions:
• Before operational startup, read the detailed

• The equipment may only be used as
intended for barcode scanning tasks.
• Observe the operating limits of the device.
• Do not expose the equipment to aggressive
chemical vapors or to unnecessarily extreme
temperatures, moisture, or vibrations.
• Make sure that no liquid enters the
equipment.
4 Connection
NOTICE: The product may only be connected
using the original cable YP-CYSSR1.

2 Incoming goods inspection
Check the contents of the consignment for
completeness. Check the contents visually
to determine whether any damage has
occurred during transport. If there are grounds
for rejection of the goods, a claim must be
filed with the carrier immediately. The sales
organization must also be notified.
3 Before operational startup
NOTICE: Perform visual inspection.
Before operational startup as well as after
storage or transport, inspect the product
visually for signs of mechanical damage.
The product should not be put into operation
if it displays signs of visible damage and/or is
defective.
