SHREDDING TIPS
1. Before shredding food should be cut into small parts to
make sure it fits in the shredder. If the pieces are too big
and too much force is used, operation of the appliance is
more difficult and its efficiency is lower.
2. Use the pusher to push food against the grater. If the
pieces pushed through the feed tube are too big, they
may become stuck in the shredding chamber and be
hard to remove. In this case switch the appliance off,
remove the shredding chamber and clean it.
3. The shredder is equipped with a fine and a coarse grater
for making flakes (cheese, carrot, celeriac, boiled beet-
root, etc.). The third grater cuts vegetables into slices
(potato, cucumber, onion, etc.). The fourth grater makes
puree (potato, beetroot, fruit, etc.).
4. To change the level of shredding or the thickness of
slices apply more/less force when pushing. For example,
use little force to make thin slices.

6. Never shred fruit with hard stones, as this may damage
the appliance.
7. Never remove the shredding chamber, change graters or
push food with fingers while the shredder is on. Use a
wooden spoon to remove food from the chamber – never
do it using hands!
8. Some parts of shredded food may remain and accumu-
late in the shredding chamber or inside the grater.
Remove them after shredding food.

Ecology – Environmental Protection
The "crossed-out trash bin" symbol on electrical
equipment or packaging indicates that the device
cannot be treated as general household waste
and should not be disposed of into containers for such
waste.
Obsolete or broken-down electrical device should be
delivered to special designated collection points, organized
by local public administration, whose purpose is to collect
recyclable electrical equipment.
This way, each household helps reduce possible negative
effects influencing natural environment and allows the rec-
laiming of materials which the product is made of.
