PoINT Publisher: Getting Started
"PoINT Publisher Server" maintains a list of jobs. By adding Disc Im
ages to it, the user creates jobs. "PoINT Publisher Server" takes these
jobs (Disc Images) as input and writes discs according to the specifica
tions. To achieve highest productivity, "PoINT Publisher Server"
processes multiple Images and writes to multiple recorder drives at a
time if possible.
"PoINT Publisher Client" is similar to "PoINT Publisher Server". It
allows to view and manipulate the job list of "PoINT Publisher
Server" from remote computers.
"PoINT ECR" is intended as a tool for simplifying and automating the
production of discs in a network environment without the need of
PoINT Publisher applications (e.g. Image Builder). "PoINT ECR" of
fers network shares to which data can be copied. According to certain
configurable conditions "PoINT ECR" will instruct "PoINT Publisher –
Server" to produce the discs.
"PoINT Label Editor" allows you to easily create and edit label files for
discs. These can be used with jobs of PoINT Publisher to automate la
bel printing during disc production.
The Batch Interface (SDK) is an optional extension to the interactive
versions of "PoINT Publisher" and "Image Builder".
The Batch Interface adds batch processing functionality to "PoINT
Publisher", so that definitions including imprint file, number of copies
and order of jobs for "PoINT Publisher" can be controlled by external
programs.
