Field of application:
The devices are only suitable for in-house distribution of RF signals.
SVS XXXX-06 can be used as input or trunk amplifier befor or between SPU
XXXX-06 multiswitches/cascade units.
If a device is used for other purposes, no warranty is given!
The figure on the right show an application example for distribution of 8 SAT
IF polarization levels including terrestrial signals (e.g. DAB+ radio).

Equipotential bonding and mounting:
To avoid dangerous power surges (e.g. risk of fire and danger of life) the
devices must be connected to the equipotential bonding according to
EN 60728-11.
Use the equipotential bonding connection at the device (1).
To connect the outer conductor of the coaxial cable to the equipotential
bonding, use e.g. QEW Earthing angles at the inputs and outputs of the
device.
Use appropriate mounting screws and the mounting holes of the device (2).
RF Installation:
Use highly shielded coaxial cables with F connectors. Suitable cables and
connectors can be found in the current AXING catalogue or under www.
axing.com.

Power supply:
The devices require external power supply SZU 99-06 (not included in deli-
very) or can be remotely fed as long as the DC switch is not set to OFF.
Connect the power supply unit to the DC socket (3) using the enclosed
cable.
Connect the plug of the power supply unit with a mains outlet.
If several power supplies via units connected upstream or downstream are
used in the cascade, the DC pass is blocked or passed with the switch Remo-
te Power on/off (4). This way, you prevent the voltage interaction of different
power supply units.
LED 1 is on and remote power switch is off:
Due to units connected upstream, there is a remote power supply at SAT-IF
inputs or the unit is connected to an external PSU.
LED 2 is on and the remote power switch is off:
Due to units connected downstream, there is a remote power supply at
SAT-IF outputs.
LED 1 and LED 2 are ON, and switch for remote power is OFF:
Due to units connected upstream, there is a remote power supply at SAT-IF
inputs or the unit is connected to an external PSU. There is a second power
supply on SAT-IF outputs due to units connected downstream. Both power
sources do not influence each other because the DC pass is blocked by
means of the remote power switch set to OFF.
LED 1 and LED 2 are ON and the remote power switch is set to ON:
Due to units connected upstream, there is a remote power supply at SAT-IF
inputs or the unit is connected to an external PSU. With the remote power
switch set to ON, the units connected downstream will receive power supply
through the SAT-IF outputs.
Or
The unit is powered at SAT-IF outputs due to units connected downstre-
am. With the remote power switch set to ON, the power is served to units
connected upstream over the SAT-IF inputs.
Avoid parallel operation of an external PSU and bilateral remote
feed.
Adjustments:
The input levels can be adjusted from 0 to 15 dB (5).
