Strobe Wizard Plus transmitter
for radio flash triggering and power control
Connection
The Strobe Wizard Plus transmitter has no built-in main
switch for switching the unit ON. The transmitter is to be
connected to the camera either by attaching to its hot shoe
or by connecting the synchronization cable to the sync
socket 25. If it is connected to the hot shoe the unit must be
tightened carefully using locking screw 26.
Channel selection
The lateral sliding switch 23 allows to set 3 different working
channels. In addition, the option 'All' can be selected.
Pressing button 7 of the Porty power pack activates the
built-in radio receiver (control LED lights up). Repeated
pressing (>3 sec) switches to the mode for working channel
selection: ‚CH' appears on the LED display 8 and the
number of the currently chosen working channel (1, 2, or 3).
Pressing the up and down buttons 9 and 10 allows to scroll
between the channels. Remains the setting of the working
channel unchanged for more than 3 seconds, the channel is
stored and the display changes to flash power setting.
Test flash
By striking the „Test" key 24 or by releasing the camera
shutter flashes can be triggered, either selectively de-
pending on the working channel selected or all flash units
together when the option ,All' has been selected on the
radio transmitter. In total, 3 different working channels are
available.
Besides flash triggering there are also options for adjusting
the flash power and modeling lamp available, that go either
for all flash units or the selected working channel:
1) Power adjustment
The buttons 20 and 21 allow further options for power
adjustment: A single click on the respective button reduces
(20) or enhances (21) the flash power by 1/10 f-stop.
